This research was conducted with the aim of examining the concept of the growth of science and its related indicators. In fact, the concept of the science growth and the criteria which it is evaluated by, the old and contemporary theories on science growth and the known patterns for science growth and also how they could be utilized are discussed in the present paper. The findings of this article deliberated the concept of science growth in two parts. First, the theoretical basis and in the second part, the different stages of growth, Price’s model of scientific growth and Quadruple Patterns of Science Growth have been reviewed. مسئولان کشور همواره بر رشد علم تأکید داشته‌اند و آن را از ویژگی‌های راهبری علمی دانسته‌اند. این پژوهش با هدف بررسی مفهوم رشد علم و شاخص‌های مربوط به آن انجام شده است. در واقع مفهوم رشد علم، معیارهای سنجش رشد علم، نظریه‌های حوزه رشد علم در قدیم و معاصر، الگوهای رشد علم و چگونگی استفاده از آن در مقاله بررسی شده است. یافته‌ها در دو بخش به مفهوم رشد علم پرداخته است. بخش اول مبانی نظری و بخش دوم مراحل مختلف رشد، الگوی رشد علم پرایس و الگوهای چهارگانه رشد علم است که مورد نقد و بررسی قرار گرفته است. https://rahyaft.nrisp.ac.ir/article_13667_fe29189cd801709109ce0ad5dea4e2fb.pdf
