The metaverse, as an emerging technology, has attracted significant attention from researchers and users in recent years. This article analyzes the metaverse ecosystem in Iran, focusing on its seven main branches, including Mirror Worlds, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Extended Reality, Lifelogging, and Network Infrastructure. By examining the strengths and weaknesses of each branch, it was identified that Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain have achieved more progress, while Mirror Worlds, Lifelogging, and Network Infrastructure remain in the early stages of development due to infrastructural and legal limitations. Additionally, challenges such as the lack of supportive regulations, technological infrastructure, and public awareness have been recognized as key obstacles to the growth of the metaverse in Iran. This study emphasizes the need for investment in infrastructure, human resource training, and the formulation of clear policies, offering solutions for the development of the metaverse ecosystem in Iran. The metaverse, as an emerging technology, has attracted significant attention from researchers and users in recent years.
